Martin Walton was very much a creature of ego.  His altruistic ideas of helping mankind
and making a better world paled in comparison to his drive to immortalize himself, if only in name.
Walton worked on the Traveler project since before earning his doctorate.  His doctoral
dissertation on the theoretical existence of a multiverse of what he termed "realms" was met
with little interest by his professors, but Walton was dedicated to his theory and worked on
bridging the gap between universes for over twenty years.  Although he claimed to have had
Traveler near completion at the time of his death, since all records of it have since been lost, there
is no way to verify his theory as of this time.
